Society constantly evolves as do our norms and capabilities.  With the advent of changing perspectives from mental health to artificial intelligence, along with broader legal perspectives of where sexual harassment can occur, the law evolves and supervisors have to prepare for the future now and make good supervisory decisions to invent the right future. Given the speed at which technological and societal developments evolve, it is imperative for supervisors, department heads, human resource professionals, and administrators to remain aware of ongoing legal challenges associated with these impending developments. Join Attorneys Ryan Heiden and Kyle Gulya from von Briesen & Roper for the 2025 WPELRA supervisor training where they will help new and well-experienced supervisors understand these societal-evolving legal challenges surrounding off-duty behavior resulting in unlawful harassment, employee mental health challenges, artificial intelligence, marijuana and synthetic substance use by employees and testing, the interplay between the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act and the FMLA, and employee tracking by employers.  The 19th year of this entertaining scenario-based training will guide supervisors through these challenging issues and help all public-sector front-line supervisors, department heads, human resources professionals and administrators invent the right future.
